Cirque de Delay

As a resident of Fort Bend County in Texas, I am very familiar with the tricks that Tom Delay always has up his sleeve. Before we get too excited about the reversal of the Delay rule by Republicans in Congress, we should look beyond the smoke and mirrors that make up the Cirque de Delay. Delay does nothing unless it benefits Delay. There is more to this decision than meets the eye.

This decision was made in the back rooms of Congress because Delay knew he would never be indicted by Travis County District Attorney Ronnie Earl. Not because of his innocence, but because of the next trick he has in store for us. For now, it's just wait and see what happens. But don't be surprised when Delay pulls another rabbit from his hat.
